Grade 1: Skills Unit 1 Reader "Snap Shots"

The decodable Reader for Unit 1 is "Snap Shots." All Readers for Grade 1 is 100% decodable, meaning they only use words and spellings that have been explicitly taught and practiced. Students will begin to read decodable stories about halfway through Unit 1.

It is strongly recommended that students engage in partner reading with selections from the Student Reader. This can be done as an oral activity or a silent reading activity, and should be paired with comprehension and discussion questions to ensure student understanding of the text they are reading.
